So, if any of your Dear Readers remember, awhile back I mentioned that Maverick gave me some much needed inspiration, and finally that fruit of inspiration has come to grow and blossom. And the result can be seen on my Flickr. So, go check them out and let me know what you think! And just to wet your appetite, here be one of them..now off with you, go to my Flickr to see the rest!
So now that my dear Maverick has been deployed, there's much time to think of awesome things to craft to send in care packages. And I'm not talking about like a 5yr old did it type things..maybe take the ideas but I need to make it nice..a notch above one might say. So far I've done a quote on a pillowcase, and I have some other ideas rattling about my brain, but I'm open to suggestions. Some cute, some romantic..just all around awesome ideas. Oh! And ideas for baked goods I can send in the mail..you know cookies and stuff for Maverick..and maybe some he can share with the unit to make them all happy and remind them that someone is thinking about them back home. Got ideas? Post 'em here or feel free to use my Contact page to send 'em direct to me. Can't wait to see what you my Dear Readers come up with!
Ps. Did I mention I miss him like crazy and need time to go faster so he can come home? And that I'm so proud of him for being one of the few to feel such a compelling need to serve and protect the rest of us? Maverick, if you're reading this, you are my hero mi amour!
So the boyfriend, we can call him Wingman, has given me some much needed inspiration, and at the present moment, I'm acting on said inspiration. His brillos idea, which will not be mentioned here until I complete the project, has given me the idea to create a couple series of posters. This is going to be very cool, or at least I think so, when I'm done. I hope you, Dear Reader, will enjoy them just as much once I get them posted up here!
Jeez, it's been forever hasn't it? As Big Mac would declare, "Eeyup". I blame my lack of blogging on new stuff going on in my life. Keeping up with a military boyfriend, my job, my soon coming second job and my social life is setting my head on a Tilt-o-Whirl speed. Yikes! So, to give y'all something to gander while I work on things to create to post here, take a gander at my Pinterest. I'm sure you'll find many things there to keep you amused, and discover different little facets of me along the way. Happy Pinning!
The Woodstock Artists Association and Museum (WAAM) is accepting submissions for the upcoming show The Under 40 Show. If your a local artist, within 50 miles of Woodstock that can drop off/pick up your work in person, check out the prospectus here! The deadline for submissions is October 6, so hurry yourself up and get submitting! I know I'm submitting a piece, so why don't you?
Been a bit since I posted anything, so in that case, check out my awesome Tumblr! It's the place where I troll the interwebs for everything I follow/obsess over. :-D
This weather is deffo putting a damper on things. Keeps raining and it's just ick outside. Gross. At least I can get some book design done in the crappy weather. I've decided to re-vamp the FiMfic I started laying out. Awhile back, I started putting the FiMfic "Past Sins" into book form, but I've never actually gotten it printed. Glad I didn't do it yet, cause I just decided I want to change the size and push some things around. So on that note, off I go!
Gah! It has been wayy too long since my post now hasn't it? Yes it has been, so therefore, I'm going to remedy this situation immediately. Seeing as I don't have any particularly interesting projects at the moment, I've decided you all should check out my BFF's blog: Pink Forsythia.
Bjean's blog is pretty amazing. Not to mention crafty..Bjean is the most crafty person I know, and I'd like to say I get some of my inspiration from her. She is the one that introduced me to the bug know as Photoshop that started this whole madness..lol. Bjean can make the most gorgeous things out of the most ordinary things and you would think it's a boutique item. Love that girl. But enough from me..go over to her blog and check it out for yourself!
So I got me some supplies to finally make sketchbooks. I figure once I can stockpile a few, Etsy store here I come.
In the meantime, the plan is to make a limited run of each different paper cover. Paper covers are gonna be made from various papers (handmade, scrapbook, or otherwise) I can get my hands on. Other covers will be made out of the traditional bookcloth, and since I have more of that, more editions of bookcloth covered books will be made.
